As I sat at the June preview event's beginning, I couldn’t not help thinking, "Man, how cool MT 2K23 could it be to have NBA 2K's game to have an option like that?" The Home Court in the NBA is powerful. The NBA's home-court advantage is unparalleled in any other sport. That's why teams fight tooth and nail to win 82 regular season games in order to be able to play more games on their own court during the playoffs.
Madden gave the Denver Broncos Mile High M-Factor which causes teams who are visiting to drain at a faster rate. It's interesting to speculate how this feature would increase immersion if 2K offered the Denver Nuggets an identical perk for playing in Ball Arena. There could be other home court benefits, such as more fouls called and higher scores for players in the role. Star players are typically not impacted by the venue however the old saying that role players perform more effective at home. The quality of the team can determine the quality of the benefits.
It is likely that you have heard an announcer state that basketball is a game about runs if you have watched it over the past two decades. The runs that occur are often results of, or characterized as momentum shifts. The whole idea suggests 2K probably should have had an element of momentum in the game. One could argue that 2K's Takeover and Team Takeover systems are 2K's version. It's partially true. The Takeover system doesn't address the surrounding. It doesn't take into account fans' presence or players' familiarity with specific courts. These aspects are not present in the 2K Experience.
NBA 2K23 hasn't been officially announced, but most believe it will arrive during the second week of September. We're close to the date for release, however we've not heard anything about new features or confirmed the names of the cover athletes. However, multiple leaks are circulating. It doesn't matter who is on the cover or how many of the 10 items that we'd love to be able to see in this year's game. But, NBA 2K23 will almost certainly be missing one element that was in Madden 22 has, no matter what.
EA may not be able to properly perform the M-Factors from Madden 22. They have made such errors in the past with other concepts that were strong in their conceptualization and successful, like the QB Vision cone. They're trying to make the real-world sports experiences which no other game will buy nba mt match.
